The Little Ossipee Lake Association mission is: E3 – To preserve and protect Little Ossipee Lake through Education, Eradication, and Erosion Control. Your contributions of dues, donations, and volunteer time enable us to provide much valued services which include:

Water Quality Monitoring

Sampling is done monthly and reported to Maine Volunteer Lakes Monitoring Program (Maine VLMP)

Invasive Plant Patrol (IPP)

Our IPP Team is growing and with regular inspections is ready to act promptly in the event an invasive species is detected. As of now, Little Ossipee is free of Invasive Plants.

Erosion Control

We educate property owners regarding best practices for protecting the ecosystem and water quality, and preventing harmful runoff and shoreline erosion.

Advocacy

We communicate with the Town and State on issues in accordance with our mission statement, on behalf of the entire lake community.

Protecting Your Investment

Property Values on Little Ossipee are very good primarily because of the water quality. Invasive plants and/or pollution could potentially decrease property values by upwards of 20%.

As an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your donations are tax deductible to the full amount allowed by law (check with your tax adviser).
